As part of government plans to bring our energy system up to date, around 53 million Smart meters will be fitted in over 26 million homes in Britain by the end of 2020.

It's a great move - Smart meters are the 21st century energy meters and will mean better control of your energy, more accurate bills and better ways to save money.
